A 10 day customised Auditory therapy Programme to help overcome hearing inaccuracies and improve listening skills. The ears have muscles and reflexes and can be trained to process speech more quickly and accurately and to phase out background noises.
Many people fail to reach their full potential because of hidden abnormalities in the way in which they hear. This is not about hearing loss, but problems with HOW they hear.
For example:
1) Those with hypersensitive hearing are very distractible and find it hard to concentrate in class, as they cannot phase out background noises. Loud social situations can also prove overwhelming.
2) Some do not hear all parts of language at the same volume, which makes listening to someone speaking a bit like listening on a mobile phone in an area of poor reception.
3) Others may have ‘dyslateral hearing’, meaning they swap from one ear to the other to hear different parts of language. This has the effect of muddling up the order in which bits of words reach the language processing part of the brain, creating dyslexic-like swapping of letters.
Features: The programme consists of two 30 minute daily listening sessions to specially modulated and filtered music, separated by a minimum 3 hour gap. Following a hearing test which is carried out in clinic, a customised music therapy programme is created by our practitioners and then delivered to you via the App.
Benefits: Some results are noticed immediately, it is up to six months post treatment that the full, long-lasting effects are seen.
